But Open House is tomorrow! Now check out the current state of my classroom, and tell me how on earth I will be ready by then?!
It didn’t help that I was in trainings all day long, and had only an hour during my lunch break and an hour and a half at the end of the training to work in the room. (On the bright side, however, there are some really cool things happening with the decor that I will take pictures of tomorrow when it’s all done, and post on Friday.)
Also, I saw this on Yahoo and the comments made me ill. Who knew so many people hate teachers? I worked a lot this summer (unpaid) and then spent hundreds of dollars on my classroom (with my own money) but apparently I’m incompetent, lazy, overpaid, and spoiled.
I think I should just call it a day and go to sleep.
You can do it!! — ( I stored a few boxes in my car on the night of orientation 🙂 )
Luanne, I’m at the point where I think I will hide things in the (currently empty) sand table! One hour and ten minutes to go, I just got home, and need to shower, dress, and get back there…..
Thank you for sharing all your wonderful ideas. I love them plus it is sad that so many people don’t understand the amount of time, effort, money, love, determination, heartache go into this job.
